TPG Architecture + X-Design
The two-floor modernization and expansion at 50 Bay Street transformed the NHL’s offices into a connected, high-performance workplace. mform delivered phased construction in an active building, upgraded critical systems, and created new technology-driven spaces to support executive operations and league-wide broadcast functions.
To elevate circulation and functionality, the original stair was demolished and replaced with a new interconnecting stair between floors 10 and 11, improving visibility and movement across executive, collaboration, and broadcast departments. A key focus of the project was the delivery of the NHL’s high-tech Situation Room, designed for real-time game oversight and equipped with raised flooring for cable routing, dedicated HVAC and power, tiered workstations, an integrated video wall, and enhanced acoustic and AV treatments.
The scope also included integration of advanced broadcast and AV infrastructure, coordination of long-lead technology and equipment, and targeted upgrades to HVAC, emergency power, and dry sprinkler systems. Collectively, these measures improved the reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of the NHL’s critical environments.
